Description
Set of 2 buttons representing hunting scenes. One in tin, the other in lighter colour metal, are depicting the exact same pattern: a hunting dog walking. 

Hunting with hounds buttons appeared during the 18th century with representations of hunting dogs and games. Hunting crews worn buttons with specific motifs in the second half of the 19th century, their members were called "boutons" in reference to the buttons with the effigy of hunted animals.
